Anybody with a grandparent who has reached the age of 75 knows that the three-quarters-of-a-century mark is something worth celebrating. That birthday is no less important for automobiles, particularly because there are so few of them in the industry today that have been around for that long. The Jeep Wrangler, while not an original model, is about as close to its original form as any automobile currently for sale, and the automaker would like to celebrate the 75th anniversary of that particular model by producing a special edition of the Jeep Wrangler for long-time fans of the brand in Wallingford, CT to enjoy.

According to the official brand history, the Jeep Wrangler first came to life sometime around 1941, when the United States Government first handed out the contract to have a military-grade automobile that could roll over a number of different terrains. This special edition model looks to pay tribute to those earliest versions of the automobile.

Based on the current version of the Jeep Wrangler Sport, the Wrangler 75th Salute does a lot of really neat things to honor its ancestor. It’s olive-drab in color and does not feature B-pillars, doors or roll bars. With all of those things removed, it really does look a lot like the old Willys MB Jeep, which is exactly the point.

While this vehicle really is being manufactured, it might be easier to actually get your hands on a real Jeep Wrangler Sport, which is an amazing Jeep for sale right now here at Executive Dodge Jeep. If you’re interested in test driving one of those, please give us a call or stop by any time and one of our sales associates will get you all set up. It might not be the special edition, but as we already said, no auto is as close to the original as the Jeep Wrangler is, anyway.
