Anybody who knows anything about RAM as a brand understands fully that RAM trucks are blessed with the opportunity to be made considerably better with the inclusion of a few items from the Mopar catalogue. In fact, to illustrate just how much a vehicle can be improved by a little aftermarket customization, the truck-maker is releasing a special new version of the 2016 RAM 1500 Rebel, which will exceed the standard edition of the pickup considerably by including a number of custom parts that improve both aesthetics and performance.

Mopar, for those who didn’t know, is the customization branch of FCA US LLC, and they specialize in adding all sorts of different parts to a number of automobiles, though typically this happens after the vehicle has been purchased. In the case of the 2016 RAM Rebel, those manufacturing the vehicle are getting all of that “aftermarket” work done before the vehicle even arrives at dealerships. It’s a painstaking process, which probably explains why only 500 of these special edition Rebel models will be sold, but it’s a process that more than makes the vehicle worth the expense.

The additions on this particular pickup truck include bigger flares, a black bumper, special 17-inch black wheels, a skid plate covering the power steering box, and a special performance aluminum hood with matte black decals. There also are a few options for boosted performance, including an optional cold-air intake and a catback exhaust for those that want to tack on a few numbers to the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that comes under the hood.

As your RAM dealer serving Branford, CT, we love how customizable these pickup trucks are, so even if you aren’t able to get your hands on the new special edition Rebel, there are plenty of ways to customize all the other RAM trucks simply by visiting the Mopar catalogue.
